Having performed a groundbreaking, unique rendition of ‘it is well’ switching to the 90’s classic hit ‘show me love’ on Britain’s Got Talent securing a standing ovation from the crowd and 4 yes’s from the panel of expert judges, Northants Sings Out has performed at Silverstone Festival, sold out shows across all Northamptonshire Theatres (including the prestigious Royal & Derngate Theatre), produced a full virtual show watched globally online, achieved over 400k views online of their take on Madonna’s hit ‘Music’ and boast an impressive 700+ members on roll from across Northamptonshire.
Northants Sings Out is led by founder/conductor Gareth Fuller, credited for directing the choir at Liam Gallagher’s sell out Knebworth shows attended by over 160,000 and key tour dates across the UK. Choirs under Gareth’s direction have performed with Sting, Sir Elton John, Luciano Pavarotti, Eric Clapton and HRH The Queen.
Northants Sings Out’s is made up of voices from across Northamptonshire. Over time, this has included work based choirs from some of the UK’s most prominent companies including Unilever, Barclays, Carlsberg and Volkswagen to name a few.
This year, the Choir celebrate 10 years as Northants Sings Out. Founder/conductor, Gareth Fuller, continues to develop UK based choirs under his new organisation Sings Out Music UK CIC and acts as Music Director to artists including 90’s chart-toppers, Damage and VV Brown.
The choir was founded in 2014 by nationally acclaimed choir conductor Gareth Fuller who has been described as ‘The UK’s most ingenious cross genre musician’. Gareth is recognised throughout the UK as one of the best vocal directors for his ability to develop any voice he works with. Gareth has conducted some of the most dynamic choirs across the UK. The high musicality standard of his work has taken him across the UK and further. Gareth’s choirs are regular finalists or winners of choir competitions. After 15 years teaching primarily in London based schools and a further seven years teaching in colleges and music specialist settings, the positive impact of choir music has led to Gareth’s current vocation. Northants Sings Out is one of his many choirs that have spread the joy of group singing across all genres of music.
Following their show-stopping performance of the hymn ‘It is well’ then switching to 90’s classic ‘Show me love’ by Robin S on ITV’s Britain’s Got Talent, Northants Sings Out have been inundated with performance and contract opportunities for the highly sought-after collective. Watched by almost 7 million on the hit ITV series, the choir’s much-loved rendition showcased the pure joy and cross genre essence that runs through all of their performances. Since their performance aired on 27th April 2024, their arrangement of ‘It is well’ and ‘show me love’ has received over 500,000 views on YouTube, and has been watched by millions on social media. Northants Sings Out embarked on Britain's Got Talent solely to impact people. They wanted to showcase community voices. Real people from real backgrounds.
The 25-65 year old group of singers from Northamptonshire come from a variety of backgrounds and are dedicated to creating a sound that demonstrates the community they share through their warm energy and enthusiastic performance. With none of the singers coming from a professional background, Northants Sings Out are proudly proving that community voices can do extraordinary things, one show-stopping performance at a time.
2024 marks Northants Sings Out’s 10th Anniversary. With a summer run of shows yet to be announced, their only ‘homecoming’ Anniversary Show on 9th November 2024, music recording plans plus performing in front of millions of people whilst on Britains Got Talent, Northants Sings Out are celebrating by creating amazing moments and mind-blowing performance experiences for all their choir members, many of whom would never dream it was possible for them to be part of such high profile show formats.
